That’s why we build our quartz halogen emitters to hit your exact voltage—whether you’re running 110V, 480V, or 575V. You just plug them in. No drama.
What’s actually happening inside the tube?
Voltage isn’t just some technicality on a spec sheet; it actually changes how the heater behaves. When we build a lamp for 480V or 575V, we aren’t just flipping a switch. We’re physically tweaking the length and thickness of the filament. We do this so you get the wattage you need without the element just burning itself out. The real perk? High-voltage tubes let you push more power with less current. That means you can use thinner wires and you won’t lose as much power across those long heating banks. It just works better.
The build quality
We use high-purity quartz glass to keep the halogen cycle moving. If you don’t, the tungsten filament evaporates and sticks to the walls. You’ve probably seen it—that “darkening” effect that kills your power over time. And about the connectors: we use R7s or SK15s depending on what you need. We’re obsessive about the fit because a loose connection at these power levels is a recipe for disaster. One tiny gap and you’ve got an arc that’ll melt your sockets right off the wall.
Getting it on the floor
If you’re running PET blowing or curing lines, you need that short-wave IR to hit peak temp fast. Our emitters are designed to be drop-in replacements. They fit your existing footprint, so you aren’t spending your weekend modifying brackets. But here is a heads-up: 575V emitters put out an incredible amount of heat. If your reflectors are pitted or your airflow is clogged, that quartz tube is going to overheat and crack. It’s a quick way to ruin a good lamp. Double-check that your cooling fans are actually handled for the thermal load you’re pushing, not just what the manual says. We’ll make sure the voltage is a perfect match.
