Let’s be honest: those old-school heat lamps in bathrooms are kind of a joke. They’re basically just fancy lightbulbs that try their best to keep you warm, but they aren’t built for the one thing bathrooms have in spades—steam. Humidity is a killer for electronics. It seeps in, ruins the guts of the machine, and eventually, the thing just stops working. That’s why we’ve shifted toward high-standard waterproof infrared heaters. They actually belong in a shower zone. It’s all about how the heat hits you Most heaters try to warm up the air in the room. The problem? Air is stubborn. The “waterproof” part actually matters Water and electricity are a terrible mix. If your heater isn’t sealed properly, moisture gets in, corrodes the contacts, and burns out the circuit. Just a heads-up: these things gethot. Really hot. Before you put one in, just make sure your ceiling material can handle the heat without getting scorched.
